Ducted Air Conditioners can be broken down into three specific types:
Conventional, Inverter and Digital Scroll.
The different types of systems each have their pros and cons.
Conventional Ducted Air Conditioners:
This type of system has a much lower capital cost, which is handy if you’re the budget minded type. These generally cost less and aare a little quicker to install. The down side is that the temperature control can vary plus or minus 3 degrees and it does consume more power.
Inverter Ducted Airconditioning
Inverter ducted air conditioning systems are becoming the standard in Domestic air conditioning systems. The reason for this is because they are quieter than the conventional systems and also use less power than a conventional air conditioner.
Inverter Ducted Systems have the ability to slow down the compressor when there is little need for a large cooling capacity. Because of this they consume up to 30% less electricity than a conventional unit and they also maintain a more constant temperature.
Digital Scroll Airconditioning
Digital Scroll is the final type of technology available for your ducted air conditioner system. This in my opinion is the best technology to install inyour home.
The system uses slightly less power than an inverter because it can slow down to just idling which is great for your back pocket. But on top of this is the way it can maintain temperature. It is even more accurate then the inverter ducted systems.
So in a nutshell, if you want an installation based on price go for the conventional ducted air conditioning. If you would like to have the most energy efficient air conditioning then choose a digital scroll air conditioning system.
